DISTANCE                       ABOUT 8 MILES

WEATHER                       COLD & GREY

START / FINISH              OFF ROAD PARKING AT SHILLMOOR

This is one of those walks that I do every year, and I keep promising myself that I would do it on a nice summers day rather than do it at the beginning of the year, however for some reason I canít put my finger on I rushed out and did it on a cold grey winters day however I have promised myself (yet again) that I will return and do it on a summers day sometime later this year. (Only time will tell if I keep this or not).

I really like this route it has the advantage of seeing the area from above and walking back along the valley bottom you get to see the same hills only looking up , and there the fact that you wonít see anyone (unless you are unlucky) which makes it special . A lot of this walk isnít on any marked footpaths but that doesnít matter as its all open access up here, but there are enough sheep trails and quad bike tracks to make walking easy enough for you. In fact this walk has got a bit of everything, boggy heather; rough pasture, easy grass paths, mud and stone paths and man-made track, and the views from Shillhope law are really good considering its 501 meters.

Any way as normal a few photos: - enjoy
